Our history

Our story

"The artist is the one who

fixes the truth of the world"

-Thomas Mann

Ch.ACO was born in 2009 driven by the desire to promote the projection of the visual arts in Chile. The idea was to give artists an international showcase and make Chilean art known throughout the world, in addition to democratizing access to contemporary art.

Thus, Ch.ACO has been a catalyst for the art market, which has grown substantially during this time and has contributed to the development of the visual arts and artists, through the participation of galleries from around the world and renowned curators.

Our audience is diverse. On fair days, collectors, representatives of galleries and museums, from very different countries and economic and cultural origins gather around art. That is why we say that it is an inclusive event, where citizen participation is of great importance, since it allows us to reach it and educate around art, whether it is for children, students or other interested parties.

At present, the Ch.ACO fair is already on the agenda of the world's art fairs and has established itself as the most important visual arts milestone in the country, as well as a benchmark in Latin America. It is the largest contemporary art festival that is produced and managed in Chile, and a citizen event expected by everyone every year.
