2014- Ch.ACO doesn’t stop

Ch.ACO is the art’s most important milestone in the country and a referent to Latin America. The fair, which is successfully inserted in the agenda art fairs of the world. Its objective is to create networks and links, both in terms of trade and cultural dissemination of the region, thus, develop and consolidate the local scene.

In this edition, located in the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, with 15 national and 14 international galleries, where more than 800 artworks were presented, managed to gather 50,000 attendants. Also, this year for the first time, three important national collections are exhibited, to promote the practice of collecting as a booster of the cultural development of the country.

The Pop-Up Spaces section, through a jury of excellence, chose 12 spaces along Chile which seeks to highlight by its creative proposal and business model that have the opportunity to show its projects in the fair, making its insertion easier in the national and international market.

This year’s discussion panel is intended to familiarize the local public with the contemporary art’s own language and is entitled “El mercado de las artes: mitos, fantasías y realidades”, co-edited by Irene Abujatum and Claudio Iglesias. Experts of the contemporary art scene such as Vivian Pfeiffer, Katya Tylevich, Manuel Cirauqui, Manuela Moscoso, Iván Navarro, Enrique Farías, Joel Yoss, Pablo León de la Barra, and others are invited to address these subjects.
