2013- Five Years!
Ch.ACO develops a relationship between the artistic sector components as never seen before in Chile, creating different networks for the commercialization and cultural distribution of the region, establishing collaboration among cultural agents as a model to accomplish an effective and collective growth, and this way contributing with the country's development.
This year, Foundation Ch.ACO is created, a non-profit organization that brings together renowned professionals related to the art and culture of Chile, which seeks to promote and bring artistic production both in Chile and abroad closer, establishing itself as a unique agent in the country, which communicates, manages and thinks around visual arts.
The event takes place at Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho where more than 700 works from 16 national and 16 foreign galleries where exhibited, gathering over 43,000 people.
In addition, the Pop_Up Spaces program is carried out for the first time, which provided a space for 10 Chilean projects that, despite being outside the commercial circuits, have stand out for their creative concept and management models.
In this edition, the discussion panel entitled “Collecting? In Chile?”, curated by Gonzalo Pedraza, is here to set up the subject of promoting collecting, and for that Carlos Amorales, Carmen Cuenca, Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy, Vicente Honoré, Aimée Labarrerre, Juan Pablo Langlois, Brigitte Leal, Sharon Lerner, Natalia Majluf, Juan Yarur, among others, have been invited.
