2013- Five Years!
Ch.ACO manages to develop a relation between the components of the artistic area as never seen before in Chile, creating networks for the commercialization and cultural dissemination in the region as well as establishing itself as precedent the associativity between cultural agents to achieve an effective and collective growth, and thus, contribute to the development of the country.
This year, the Ch.ACO foundation is created, a non-profit organization that brings together outstanding professionals linked to art and national culture that seeks to bring closer and promote artistic production, both in Chile and abroad. Thus, establishing as the only manager in the country that communicates, manages, and thinks around visual arts.
The event is located in the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, where more than 700 artworks were exhibited from 16 national and 16 international galleries, gathering more than 43,000 people.
Also, the Pop-Up Spaces program was held for the first time and gave a space to 10 Chilean projects that have stood out for its creative proposals and management models despite being out of the commercial market.
In this edition, the discussion panel titled “Colección, ¿en Chile?”, curated by Gonzalo Pedraza, establishes the subject of the collecting promotion. Carlos Amorales, Carmen Cuenca, Sofía Hernandez Chong Cuy, Vicente Honoré, Aimée Labarrerre, Juan Pablo Langlois, Brigitte Leal, Sharon Lerner, Natalia Majluf, Juan Yarur, and others are invited for this purpose.
