2011 - Ch.ACO in the middle
Ch.ACO has become a unique education, production and distribution of visual arts platform in our country. A meeting space, that invites the different agents that foster the development of art in Chile to continue encouraging and developing culture, beyond our country's boarders.
For this reason, the fair moves to one of the capital's most important fair centers: Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, accomplishing this way greater mainstreaming and visibility, which managed to gather 40,000 people. 15 national and 20 foreign galleries take part, and the first edition of the "Hecho en Casa" festival is carried out, with a work of art by Sebastián Errázuriz in the middle of the fair.
This year, the section Project Rooms: "Visual expeditions: Travels through the Pacific", curated by Úrsula Dávila-Villa and Gonzalo Pedraza, selected 7 projects that show the politic, economic and commercial historical relationship that countries from the Pacific have and how this reality translates into art.
