2011 - Ch.ACO at the center

Ch.ACO has transformed into a unique platform of education, production and dissemination of visual arts in our country. A meeting space that invites different agents that promote the development of art in Chile to continue promoting and developing culture, beyond the national border.

Therefore, the fair moves to one of the most important centers for fairs in the capital: the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, achieving a greater transversality and visibility that gathered 40,000 attendees. 15 national and 20 international galleries participated in the fair, and the first edition of the “Hecho en casa” festival was held with a play of Sebastián Errázuriz in the middle of the exhibition center.

This year, the Project Room section: “Expediciones visules: Viajes por el pacífico”, curated by Úrsula Dávila-Villa and Gonzalo Pedraza gathered 7 projects that show the historical political, economic and commercial relation that the Pacific countries have and how this reality translates into art.
