2010 - Impossible to remain indifferent
Ch.ACO becomes the core of different methods regarding the art market and it turns into an experience that influences producers, managers and the public associated to this event. In this edition, 29 national and 17 international galleries participate, and it manages to bring together 35,000 people, with the sponsorship from the National Arts Council, DIRAC and the Municipality of Vitacura.
It coincides with the celebration of the Bicentennial of Chile, and for that same reason, spaces for exhibition and activities regarding the fair double. This year, the fair takes place at Casas de Lo Matta, a place of significant heritage value.
The creation of the contest "Between Ch.ACO and Finland" together with Finlandia Vodka stands out in this edition, strengthening the production, distribution, collection and internationalization of young Chilean artists. The contest's coordinator was curator and visual artist Camilo Yáñez.
The Project Rooms program is presented for the first time, which under the slogan "Frontiers" introduces a set of 8 artistic concepts developed in Latin America, curated by Daniela Pérez and Gonzalo Pedraza.
Chilean artist Patrick Steeger is in charge of the fair's opening with an inflatable work.
Discussion panels by Gonzalo Pedraza and Irene Abujatum will address the "Museums Policy", with the participation of Gabi Scardi, José Falconi, Adriano Pedrosa and Daniela Pérez among others.
