2010 - Impossible to remain indifferent

Ch.ACO becomes a core of different practices around the art market and an experience that influences the producers, managers, and the public associated with this event. 29 national and 17 international galleries participate in this edition, managing to gather 35,000 people and is sponsored by the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes, the DIRAC, Municipality of Vitacura.

Coinciding with the Bicentenario celebration in Chile, and therefore the exhibition spaces and activities around the fair are doubled, and, this time, is held in Casas de Lo Matta, a place with a great heritage value.

What stands out in this version is the creation of the “Entre Ch.ACO y Finlandia” contest in collaboration with Vodka Finlandia to promote the production, dissemination, collection, and internationalization of young Chilean artists. The curator and visual artist Camilo Yáñez was the commissioner of the contest.

For the first time, Project Rooms is presented, which under the slogan “Fronteras” presents a set of 8 artistic proposals developed in Latin America, curated by Daniela Pérez and Gonzalo Pedraza.

The Chilean artist Patrick Steeger is in charge of opening the fair with an unfailing artwork.

The discussion panels in charge of Gonzalo Pedraza and Irene Abujatum revolve around the theme “Museum Policy”, and Gabi Scardi, José Falconi, Adriano Pedrosa, Daniela Pérez, and others will participate.
